WHEN & WHERE ARE CLASSES?

A new session will be held each season (Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring), class times and locations will be posted and updated on our programming page HERE.

HOW MUCH ARE CLASSES?

Initial “green grass’ programming will be offered for $125.00 per session (8 week classes). If you are in need of financial assistance please contact the office for further information.

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS NEEDED?

Junior clubs, golf balls, and learning equipment is provided for your junior golfer to utilize. If a junior golfer has their own golf clubs, we encourage them to bring those to practice.

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?

Proper golf attire is required. Appropriate clothing consists of: a collared shirt, pants or shorts (weather dependent), and any type of athletic shoes. A First Tee collared shirt or a First Tee cap will be provided for all new students.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR CLASSES?

You may register for classes on our website in the upper right hand corner in our “Register” tab. From there you can navigate to our parent portal link on that page.

CAN MY CHILD MISS ANY CLASSES?

As a youth development program, we teach and reinforce the nine core values: two of which being responsibility and perseverance. Attending classes regularly is an easy way to practice those values. In the case of an emergency, we do understand and excuse those absences. Unfortunately, if three or more classes are misses, the student will be dropped from the session.

WHAT ARE CLASSES LIKE?

As a new First Tee chapter, PAR level classes will be initially offered. Class size depends on enrollment however is typically between 10-12 students. Classes utilize all available practice facilities; the driving range, chipping green and putting green.

WHAT AGES ARE THE STUDENTS?

The PAR level classes are typically for ages 6-12.

ARE THERE ANY PERKS OF JOINING THE FIRST TEE?

There are many benefits of The First Tee Experience. Our goal is not only to improve your child’s golf game but to aid in character development by reinforcing the values inherent to the game of golf. Additional benefits include: a membership to Youth on Course after completing their first PAR level session at The First Tee (Youth on Course is a membership which offers discounted rates for junior golfers at various courses in the area).

WHERE SHOULD I BUY JUNIOR GOLF CLUBS AND WHAT SHOULD I BUY?

Through our partnership with US Kids Golf, First Tee of the North Coast is able to help determine and order the proper size set for your child. Visit the US Kids Golf equipment page HERE to view available options.

When looking for junior clubs, be sure to purchase clubs based on your child’s height, not their age. Junior sets are sold in 3″ increments and the number displayed is the appropriate height of the child, NOT the length of the clubs.
